One more game ending bug I’ve run into is, after a few months into the game (3 or 4), when buying creatures from your town, the numbers will go DOWN instead of adding to them, sometimes going down to 1 creature. They just sit in their last position and don’t move. They aren’t attacked, they are just removed from the list, and your heroes are left on the map with no way to control them. Sometimes you can reload and try the battle again, and it will play out fine, other times it will continue to crash on the computer’s first opportunity to move.Īnother game ending bug I’ve run into is, after a few months into the game, in one turn all the heroes on your heroes list will suddenly start disappearing off the list during the computer’s turn, leaving you with no heroes to control on your turn.
At that time the game instantly crashes to desktop. Usually it happens when a neutral stack has a hero, and it is the stack’s turn to move.

This happens in single player and multiplayer games, ERA Launcher 2.54 (and previous), with latest third upgrade mod. Unfortunately, the game crashes randomly during battles after a few months into the game.

Also be prepared to do a Registry Hack on your PC if you do want to remove Norton AV you’re probably just better off reinstalling your SSD and Don’t install Norton AV. I’m sure you have a similar experience and it you don’t look out for things like Slow Downs, lagginess and whatnot. When I was running Norton AV I’d get a virus almost hourly. These Mods are for a game from 1999, the Best Game EVER, Heroes 3, so just enjoy the game and get rid of Norton AV believe me when I say it’s the WORST PROGRAM SUIT EVER and fails to detect ANY virus. After the first 50 times I grew tired of this constant popup and deleted the program only to find it necessary to reformat my HDD because it’s almost impossible to REMOVE any Norton Program from one’s PC and I’m sure that’s still the case today. Granted, for me it was mid 90’s when I used this program last, but every single time the Crash Guard went off the program is was PREVENTING from Crashing my PC was Norton Crash Guard. Norton has a program called Crash Guard which is supposed to prevent programs from crashing your PC. If Norton AV found something it thinks is a VIRUS chances are 99.99999999% that is NOT a VIRUS. If one is careful Antivirus is not necessary whereas education is imperative so learn from me and my decades of experience. Hackers was a prize, cash money, SOMETHING, your porn files are useless to Hackers. What hacker is going to want what is on your PC? NONE that I can think of. I don’t know what you do on your PC but I don’t run Antivirus because it’s a scam, 100% datamining SCAM. Jason I’ve been working with PCs since 1986, do the math that’s a very long time, and I’m here to say that Norton AV is by far the worst of the worst ever Antivirus Solutions.
